8 flu shot myths debunked – Employee Benefit News

Employee Benefit News (EBN) put together a slide show with common myths regarding flu shots with tips from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and TotalWellness. 

A study conducted by the Trust for America’s Health found that one in five Americans (62 million) gets the flu each year. Despite the numbers, fewer than half of Americans (only 45%) got a flu shot during the 2012-2013 flu season. EBN shared eight common flu shot myths and information that employers can use to educate their teams so they can make smarter decisions regarding their health this flu season.
