This cutting-edge technology is designed to deliver rapid and precise HbA1c measurements from a simple fingerstick test, yielding results within a mere three minutes.

Here’s what this means for our clinical practice:

• Efficiency: The quick turnaround time of three minutes per test aligns with our commitment to expedient care without compromising on quality.
• Accuracy: The Abbott Afinion HbA1c test is renowned for its high precision.
• Reliability: This method shows no interference from the most common hemoglobin variants, providing confidence in the results irrespective of genetic differences in hemoglobin structure.
• Standards Alignment: The system is NGSP and IFCC certified, indicating global recognition and compliance with standardized testing protocols.
• Simplified Compliance: Being CLIA waived helps reduce the regulatory burden.
