Our Story
Vaccinations to TotalWellness
TotalWellness was officially founded in January 1998; however, the foundation of the company developed decades earlier. Founder Alan Kohll spent nearly 20 years working in his family’s pharmacy business treating various health issues. This grew Alan’s interest in maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle with a focus on disease prevention.
TotalWellness was originally founded under the name Vaccination Services of America and provided basic on-site health prevention services, such as flu shots and health screenings. As early entrants into this growing industry, we were quick to embrace the idea of prevention, helping employees stay well in order to stay productive.
TotalWellness soon expanded their offerings to include health consulting and health awareness services. The business model started to grow and in our first years we served several large organizations across the nation.
While conducting these services, Kohll started building the best nursing delivery team in the industry. TotalWellness focused on recruiting a network of nurses across the country. Today, TotalWellness consists of over 2,000 nurses and health professional across the U.S. and Canada who deliver the best quality corporate health solutions in the industry.
Founded on the basic ideals of high organization, outstanding customer service and direct implementation of corporate health and wellness solutions, part of our mission is to demonstrate leadership with innovative wellness products. In 2001 we launched EmployeeSignup.com, an online scheduling tool that simplifies the process of making an appointment. The addition of the tool helps ensure smooth and efficient events. We later changed our name to Health Fairs of America to reflect our broader line of products and services.
In 2008, we brought all of our products under the name TotalWellness reflecting our arrival as a comprehensive, national company. Our personal health assessment launched in 2009 and in 2010 we added lifestyle management telephonic health coaching. We specialize in providing assistance in wellness program development, health assessments, on-site health screenings and flu shot events, follow-up telephonic coaching, and program data analysis.
The nurse who represented your company was very professional as well as friendly. Always a pleasure to work with your nurses.
